FAQs

What geographical area do you cover?
We're happy to play anywhere in the UK. Just get in touch and we'll be happy to provide you with a quote.

Can I see you play ‘live’?
The vast majority of our bookings are for private individuals so it’s very rare for us to play at a public venue. However, you're more than welcome to come to one of our rehearsals at our studio in Gloucestershire.

Can I book you provisionally?
By all means. We’re happy to hold a particular date for you although we do ask that you confirm one way or the other within a week or so. If we receive an enquiry in the meantime we’ll make sure we give you ‘first refusal’.

Can I book SKAMP a year ahead?
Yes we will take bookings upto a year ahead as we're always booked some months in advance.

Can we request a specific song for our ‘first dance’?
Yes. You can select any song from our current set list. We can sometimes learn a specific song for you, but if not, we can play your favourite track on CD before beginning our first ‘live’ set.

How long does it take you to set up your equipment?
We need around an hour and a half to set up and perform a sound check.

Do you have full Public Liability cover?
Yes we have up to £1m cover. We’re happy to provide copies of the relevant certificates on request.

Do you have electrical PAT certification?
Yes we do. We’re happy to provide copies of the relevant certificates on request.

Can we use your sound system for speeches/raffles etc?
Yes, in most cases that's fine. Check with us before hand so we can set things up.

How long do you play for?
We normally perform two sets, each one lasting about an hour. We'll discuss the exact timings with you before the event but please bear in mind that we normally finish at 12am. We charge a modest fee for anything after that.

Can you provide pre-recorded music when you’re not performing?
Certainly. We’ve got a range of music that we can play either to keep the party going between our ‘live’ sets and/or to provide background music (for example, while your guests are eating).

Do I need to arrange a changing room for you?
Ideally yes. Your venue should be happy to provide this free of charge.

What ground area or size of stage do you require?
A raised stage is preferable or at least a solid, level surface at ground level, We need a minimum playing area of 3.6 x 6 metres (12 x 20 feet).

How many electrical points do you need?
We need at least 2 plug points, 1 either side of the stage.
